4:30 am on Thursday morning, February 24th, 2022 is when time stopped for Ukraine. That was the moment when Dmytro Shianov, founder of Hisoshi Art Studio, remembers waking up in his Kyiv apartment to the sound of explosions. It was the beginning of Russia’s full-scale invasion and for all Ukrainians the moment when life turned upside down.
A year later, Dmytro designed the clock incorporating the star of the Russian SU-34,(registration number RF-81251) that was shut down on March 1st, 2022 in Kyiv Oblast. The clock is intended to leave a permanent time stamp in human history of Russia's crimes against humanity, and to remind all occupiers that they will share the same fate as the SU-34, which was stopped in its tracks from its mission to “liberate Kyiv in three days”.
Designed by Hisoshi Art Studio. This clock was displayed at the Victory Gallery museum exhibit that opened on the 1st anniversary of the full scale invasion. You can watch the museum tour here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JUB4spog0Qw
