Since Russia’s invasion, the daily sound of sirens blaring across Ukraine has become the norm with periodic sounds of explosions breaking the routine. Civilians hide in basements and metro stations as electrical infrastructure and residential buildings are destroyed. Hundred of lives ruined, children made orphans, humans left without limbs, and infinite new scars created every day. The artists wanted to convey this message through her work of the Ukrainian map made from wool the color of blood and alarm, and 300 fletchettes, a destructive weapon meant to indiscriminately maim civilians. The entire country is regularly shown in red indicating that missiles could strike anywhere. The direction of fletchettes, facing bottom left, indicates that all the missiles are fired at Ukraine by its northern neighbor.
