September 2024 Update - Support in the Kursk direction and Pokrovsk & a UAO volunteer joins the fight

Dear supporters of Ukraine,

Summer is finally giving way to autumn, and the news is mixed. Russia has now deployed over 35,000 troops to the Kursk salient, despite the AFU having destroyed most bridges across the Seym river, and continuing to destroy temporary pontoon set-ups as soon as they are spotted. This backlash was bound to happen sooner or later. Our Ukrainian defenders are under increasing pressure, and at the time of writing, in Donetsk the important Pokrovsk - Myrnohrad bridge was destroyed. Unfortunately, the Biden administration’s decision to allow long overdue deep strikes into Russian territory is delayed once again.

Despite the difficult situation along the front lines and discouraging political circumstances, UAO continues to provide substantial support to the defenders of Ukraine and the rule-based world order. Thanks to your kind donations, just since the 1st of August we have been able to spend $600,000 (!!) on equipment to supply units in the Kursk direction and along the Eastern front. We delivered FPV and surveillance drones, drone jammers, power stations, generators, and much more. Please read on to learn what was accomplished, and find out about an extraordinary UAO volunteer, who became a soldier in the AFU!

Your UAO Volunteer Team

We support the Ukrainian defence of Pokrovsk - and you can too

If Russia manages to capture Pokrovsk, an important road and rail junction on the eastern front, the entire Kramatorsk/Slovyansk region’s supply will be imperiled. Various UAO volunteers that travelled in the region saw for themselves that the pothole-ridden narrow country lanes via Novodonetske or Barvinkove will make supply for that region very difficult. It is of utmost importance that the Russian advance is stopped, and your donations will enable us to supply more FPV drones - essential to destroy and disable the enemy’s armoured vehicles - to our brave friends defending Pokrovsk.

Many units, for example the 53rd and 79th Brigade among others, that continue defending Pokrovsk and its vicinity are all too often under-equipped, needing more drones, particularly of the FPV type, and other items. Like in recent months, they deserve our on-going support to improve soldier’s survival rate, and to enable them to better degrade the invaders' capabilities. Notably the 79th Brigade was celebrated for halting a massive Russian mechanised assault, mentioned in our August newsletter. UAO has a long-standing relationship with these brigades, and can assure you that they will use the equipment we purchase from your donations in the best way possible. You can continue supporting these valorous troops and their otherworldly effort right below:

We supported the 79th Brigade with FPV drones before. The unit’s soldiers are highly skilled, and they repelled countless Russian assaults before

UAO’s formidable Kursk direction supply effort - featured and promoted on three YouTube channels

It is no secret that Russia has increased its efforts to recapture the Russian territory the Armed Forces of Ukraine has liberated from oppression. In no time, UAO raised a spectacular $400,000+ to supply more than 10 units, particularly the 22nd Mechanised Brigade, with large quantities of FPV drones, drone jammers, power stations (Ecoflows), and more - the brigade that was decisive for Ukraine’s incursion. Yuri and Rima, always around on the ground in Ukraine or in the UAO warehouse, worked tirelessly to supply much needed equipment to the brigade’s units.

Yuri supplied FPV drones, Mavic 3 drones, night vision & thermal vision devices, generators and a Starlink terminal

Without our partners on social media, we would not have been able to achieve what we did. Three YouTube channels joined their forces to promote our fundraiser to previously unseen heights: “Combat Veteran Reacts”, “Ukraine Matters”, and “Warthog Defense”. We are humbled and ever so grateful for their selfless support. Your generous donations and the outstanding community backing proved to be impactful. Now, at a time where it matters most, to help our valiant friends in the Kursk direction to withstand the inevitable Russian backlash, you can continue donating towards the fundraiser following this link:

A tale of dedication - the UAO newsletter writer who went to fight

All UAO volunteers support the liberation of Ukraine to the best of their abilities. Some regularly go to Ukraine to deliver supplies to our warehouse or close to the front lines. Others work as part of the ground team, in direct contact with the units we support. Still others work remotely - organising the fundraisers, procuring supplies, maintaining the website, shipping giveaways and Victory Gallery items to you donors, and they promote our cause on social media. The newsletter team keeps you updated with accomplishments and events every month.

For the first time, a member of our team took up arms and went to fight in Ukraine. UAO volunteer M, who was a writer for our newsletter right from the start until the end of 2023, dedicated himself to go far beyond the ordinary. As the Russian war against Ukraine dragged on and became more intense, M decided it was time to step forth and join the battle. He trained and now fights for the 25th Airborne Brigade. Only recently, we supported him and his unit with two Ecoflow power stations to ensure stable electricity supply.

New artworks in UAO’s famous Victory Gallery

24th August marked Ukrainian Independence Day, and you, too, can assure that Ukraine prevails as an independent nation, purchasing one or more of the latest additions to UAO’s Victory Gallery. The proceeds from your purchase will be used to purchase drones, of which the Armed Forces of Ukraine need plenty. More and more drones of all kinds are produced locally, in Ukraine’s growing aerial warfare production sector, and so, buying an item from the Victory Gallery ensures the retention of much needed jobs for Ukrainians, whilst helping the courageous defenders on all front lines.

The collective of Ukrainian UAO Victory Gallery artists never fails to imagine fresh ideas for new artworks. They see their involvement as the most practical way to apply their skills to the support of their nation in times of great need. Please spare some time to admire the latest works of art, and secure your part of Ukrainian history right here:

Thank you for standing strong with Ukraine. Together we will win this war!

Sincerely, the UAO volunteer team.
