Dear Supporters of Ukraine,
Our November update is as heartfelt and sincere as ever, unlike the recent Russian-language “peace” proposal, filtered through Google’s translation tools, appearing designed to pressure Ukraine into relinquishing its sovereignty and accepting a settlement shaped by both Moscow and Washington for all too obvious reasons. As - unfortunately - competing Russia-friendly factions in the US capital grow louder, and complacent Western European governments scramble to dilute the plan’s most outrageous stipulations, our UAO team continues its work undistracted. Our sole focus remains the practical support of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, made possible by your continued generosity.

This support has led to remarkable results during the last month. This UAO November update is about:
- Our next joint effort with the “Combat Veteran News” team
- UAO delivers red-dot sights as defense against optic fiber drones
- 90 generators and 100 power stations arrived in the UAO Kyiv warehouse as part of our previous “Energize the front lines” fundraiser

New fundraiser - UAO and Combat Veteran News collaborate again
While our team is busy with supplying units in the Kramatorsk and Pokrovsk direction, enabled with your generous donations to our recent and highly successful fundraising campaign, our friends Paul and the Combat Veteran News team intend to increase the pressure on the Russian invaders along the front line. This is why we, together, are launching a new fundraiser, focusing on five prominent and highly effective units:
-
3rd Separate Assault Brigade - fighting in the area between Kharkiv and Kramatorsk. This unit stabilises the North-Eastern front.
-
54th Separate Reconnaissance Battalion - fighting in and around Kupiansk, another hot-spot besides Pokrovsk and Kostiantynivka. The 54th is a seasoned and well-known reconnaissance unit that only recently gained notoriety for the successful elimination of the elite Russian saboteur unit “Senezh”.
-
7th Rapid Response Corps - a newly-formed command-unit for Ukraine's air assault brigades, like the 35th, 79th, or 81st. Its role is to work as a rapid response and strike force for the Ukrainian military, fighting on both sides of the Pokrovsk salient, as well as deep in the city itself.
-
Lyut Brigade - a brigade mainly composed of policemen and volunteers, many of them from Donbas region, many of whom took up arms in 2014 already. The brigade still operates as part of the National Police of Ukraine. This highly skilled brigade, known for its meticulously planned operations, fights in the Kramatorsk direction.
-
Special Operations Center "South" (until recently 73rd, “Chieftain Antin Holovaty”) - Ukraine’s elite naval special forces (“speznaz”) unit that is part of Ukraine’s Special Operations Forces (SSO). It is specialised in amphibious reconnaissance, underwater demolition, counter-terrorism, and clandestine raids. Just recently, it undertook clandestine operations in the Black Sea, destroying a valuable Russian radar station.
Just recently, we provided this HUGE "TOR" ground drone to the 93rd Brigade. As part of this campaign, we aim to procure even more of these life-saving ground drones.
The aforementioned units shall be reinforced with essential tactical front line equipment like thermal vision drones, ground drones, power stations, helping units to carry out operations effectively. Also, this fundraiser focuses on R&D engineering lab support, as all units nowadays must develop new and more advanced products at an ever faster pace to remain ahead of the enemy for as long as possible.
Previous UAO fundraisers allowed us to supply the Lyut Brigade with special drone components and antennas, which enabled the fairly small unit to emerge as one of the most efficient drone interception teams, taking down Russian Lancet, Zala, and also the larger fixed-wing Italmas drones. This fundraiser will allow the Lyut Brigade to expand its operations.
The 3rd Separate Assault Brigade already runs a respectable R&D lab that UAO supported with highly-specialised components to optimise 15 ground drones and the production of 10 relay-drones that carry an antenna to extend the operational range of other drones. We already have additional ideas for the current fundraiser, which, for security reasons, we can’t reveal here just yet.

Just recently, we met with our Lyut warriors! Due to several fundraisers (mainly supported by the UAO & CVN community), Lyut was able to extend activities in exciting ways. Items often are small in size, but lot of added value. Here, they received a batch of high quality night cameras for drones from us.
With the help of UAO equipment, Lyut is now able to take down Russian reconnaissance and attack drones on a daily bases. Here you see the last second of a Russian reconnaissance drone.
Outstanding Dutch support - UAO’s “Total defence against drones” campaign provides huge results for DIU / GUR units
When electronic drone jamming and protective netting misses or fails, shotguns become the last line of defence against low-flying FPV and surveillance drones, to protect front line soldiers’ lives and their logistics operations. Russia’s use of fiber optic drones has considerably increased this threat. An exceptionally generous anonymous donor from the Netherlands anticipated the latter problem already by the end of 2024, and offered to sponsor the supply of shotguns if there were a legal way to do so. Even when loaded with non-lethal buckshot, an effective defence against drones, export and import of such items is strictly regulated. Yuri, the (volunteer) director of our Ukrainian partner charity "Collective Aid and Logistics", and a lawyer by profession, took up the challenge. In cooperation with supplier-producer "OKROV" a legally sound route for procuring and distributing the items was created. A few more private donors joined this particular effort, and together they enabled delivery of over 3,000 anti-drone shotguns since January 2025.
As a charitable organisation registered in the U.S., UAO cannot join in this particular effort, but, understanding just how important protection against FPV drones was, decided to supply collimator sights (“red-dots”) to increase the rifles’ efficiency. Red-dots very much improve the targeting of enemy drones, for which the defenders have little more than a second, making all the difference between life and death. Until now, almost 600 red-dot sights have been delivered - they were partly covered by the "Total defense against drones” fundraising campaign, which we ran with Combat Veteran News. Another 600 are expected to arrive in the near future.
Only recently, both projects caught the attention of various Ukrainian media, when 700 pump-action rifles and 130 red-dots were handed over to six units of Ukraine’s Defense Intelligence (DIU / GUR), namely Artan, Arey, Kraken, Shamanbat, International Legion, and the Viking Maritime Operations Center. All the while, field training activities are being developed, about which we will inform you in our next newsletter.

Energizing the Frontline - 90 generators and 100 power stations arrive at UAO’s warehouse as part of our last campaign
At last, we certainly want to show you the huge progress when it comes to our energy supply efforts. You may recall last month’s fundraiser “Energize the front line” that we launched to ensure the defenders of Ukraine can operate command posts, recharge electronic equipment, and much else, with Russia steadily increasing their aerial assaults on Ukraine’s energy infrastructure. In less than a month, we raised around $37,000 through your generous donations, and already procured 90 inverter-generators (as well as 100 power stations) that promptly arrived at our warehouse in the Kyiv region, ready for delivery to various front line units. With demand for energy supply on the rise, we will certainly continue to procure generators and power stations in bulk.

90 Generators and 100 power stations arrived in the UAO warehouse in Kyiv - thanks to your contributions to our latest fundraiser. The 117th Brigade (photo in the middle) already received theirs from the UAO team.
Thank you for standing strong with Ukraine. Together we will win this war!
Sincerely, the UAO volunteer team.
Heroyam Slava!
