VOLUNTEER OPENINGS

KNOW ANYONE WHO MIGHT BE A GOOD FIT?

Ukraine Aid Ops is a nonprofit run entirely by volunteers. We generate and deliver material donations to the Ukrainian Army by making donations of our own – of our time and work. If you have experience or skills useful to us, and can offer some of your time, we would love to hear from you.

Artist/Designer

A working artist or designer will provide original and repurposed art for UAO’s website, mail campaigns and social media posts. Work is on an ad hoc basis, with you choosing when you are available (there has to be some benefit to working for free!). You will contribute to everything from infographics to video graphics, photo post production to social media panels.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrable background providing art professionally.

Threads Social Media Manager

A social media professional or accomplished amateur will lead the management of UAO’s Threads social media account, deploying a data driven approach to the repurposing of our Twitter output for simultaneous delivery on Threads, maintaining a UAO’s presence in the Threads space, and responding to the audience you create.

 

Requires a fun-but-serious creative talent for composing original posts with flawless grammar and spelling. This is a job for a great communicator with demonstrable talent for nurturing large SM audiences.

Requirements:

  • Proven ability to develop sizable social media following (on Twitter, Bluesky, Mastodon or Threads).

  • Available for 1 hour per day (at a time of your choosing), 5+ days a week.

  • Active knowledge about the Russian war against Ukraine.

Japanese Twitter team

Two Japanese speaking volunteers who can join our existing team of two, culturally repurposing UAO’s English language Twitter activity for a Japanese audience. The ideal candidate will be an excellent team player, with empathy, positivity and excellent communication skills. Of great value is: experience in utilizing analytics to drive audience engagement and growth; experience in creating content to drive donations; managing or coordinating with a team of social media professionals.

Requirements:

  • Native level Japanese

  • Demonstrable social media skills in a professional milieu

  • Available for 30-60 mins per day (at a time of your choosing) 5+ days a week.

  • Active knowledge about the Russian war against Ukraine.
